Godzilla vs Biollante released in 1989 in Japan is one of my favorite of the modern Toho Godzilla films, the cinematography is just beautiful for an 80s Kaiju film. It didn't get an American release despite being totally superior to Godzilla 1985 it is also one of the hardest to find on video. Its been released on both DVD and Blu ray but is out of print except for a semi-pricey Japanese release.
